Thinking Your Payers Go Unanswered

Do you still think that most your prayers go unanswered? Why do all these seemingly crazy things keep happening? Is God really in control?

Yes, God is still in control. It takes a special kind of faith to appreciate this, but with the Lord’s help, with the faith of the Lord, it is possible! There are many reasons why we might think our prayers go unanswered, lets take a look at whats is really going on here.

Are we asking amiss??  Are we not asking according to God’s will??? Is the prayer coming from our fleshly old man, or the spiritual new man? These are all possible explanations.

We’ll get a better understanding of answered prayers when we understand the prayers God hears. Here is an excerpt from: https://thebigpicmin.wordpress.com/2009/12/04/when-god-hears-our-prayers/

Excerpt (summary):”We are to seek and honor God, to serve him, to live righteous lives, to fear God and do his will. When we cease doing evil and learn to do good; when to seek judgment, reprove oppressors, and help orphans and widows; then God promises to hear our prayers.”

Many of us have prayed earnestly for the healing of a sick loved one, but God has still taken them home. I don’t think we should consider than an unanswered prayer. Possibly, it was an unheard prayer, but just as likely it was a prayer that was not according to God’s will.

Remember this life is not our ultimate home. It is a time for trial, refinement, and tribulation. It is an opportunity for us to turn from our fleshly old man to the spiritual new man, to learn to cooperate with what God is doing, It is not that God is not interested enough to grant our prayers. He is certainly powerful enough.

No! Our God, the God of the Bible controls all things! Often we can not see or appreciated it, his will is being done!! Day after day, year after year, God accomplishes his will.

Remember, God’s ways are so far above our ways that we should not think that we can judge him. The word tells us that his grace is sufficient. Perhaps our prayer was not in Jesus name.  Maybe our presumption that this soul needed more refinement, more time, more trials, more tribulation, was just plain wrong!

God is reveaing his will every day!! All we need to do is to observe what happens!!! Remember God uses evil for Good!

Prayer:

Dear God,

Thank you for all your blessings, all your trials and tribulation s. Help us to recognize your power, to give you glory, to turn from our selfish desires to your will. May this prayer be in your name!

Amen

Glenn
