Knowing The Grace and Power Of God

As I was driving around doing errands on this Saturday morning, I was struck with idea that most will completely miss out on knowing the true God in this life. Most will have no real appreciation for his grace nor his power!

Many of these folks will believe the lies of today’s Bind Church leaders. Pastors: A Profession Of Deceived Deceivers

These folks may remain trapped in Babylon their whole lives. As long as they remain they will suffering under the strong delusion [see 2 Thess 2:5-12 below]. This will continue as long as they reject the truth that can set them free!![that their flesh is continually evil]

KJV 2 Thess 2:5-12

5Do you not remember, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

6And now you know what restrains that he might be revealed in his time.

7For the mystery of iniquity does already work: only he who now restrains will do so, until he [God only shows us this when we are ready – given ears to hear] be taken out of the way.

8And then shall that Wicked One[Me] be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the breath of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming[Our flesh is destroyed – crucified with Christ when he shows us that our flesh is [and always will be] antichrist]:

9Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

10And with all deception of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11And for this cause God shall send them a strong delusion[make us think that we can clean up our flesh- make that which is evil good], that they should believe a lie:

12That they all might be condemned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. [As long as we think we can make our flesh good we are condemned – we are under this strong delusion – calling evil good and good evil!!]

I think there are a few other verses that we need to work thru. First, a verse describing man’s key errors:

KJV Matt 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. [same also in Mar 12:24]

When we put God in a box, when we limit his omnipotent [unlimited] power, when we remove his omnipresence [thinking he will not see us] and his omniscience [thinking he will not know what we are thinking or doing] we place ourselves among those who err. There is another key warning in this passage, “not knowing the scriptures”.

This is a crucial warning in scripture that I never appreciated during many years in physical Babylon! For years in understood scripture “in the flesh”. I really didn’t even know it was possible to understand the scriptures “in the spirit”.

NASB Jer 8:8

“How can you say, ‘We are wise, And the law of the LORD is with us’? But behold, the lying pen of the scribes Has made it into a lie.

Jeremiah warns us that the scribes of his time were already distorting the scriptures. Are you prepared to argue somewhere, perhaps in Jesus’ time God cleaned up the hearts of the scribes and the teachers of the law and made them accurate stewards of his word?? Don’t bet on it!!!

The only way to know the scriptures [in spirit] is to be given ears to hear, given eyes to see. These are gifts from God, not things claimed of men who say “I choose to follow God”. If God has not yet removed our heart of stone, you will forever remain double minded. James warns these double minded folks that they should not expect anything from God!

KJV James 1:5-9

5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

I know of Numerous passages in the new testament that have been mistranslated. Many passages have traces of truth remaining in some of the literal translations, take this none perishing example:

KJV 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Perishing is rejecting God in this life, enduring your day of wrath in the ages to come. All those born from above know that God’s will is being accomplished on earth now – as it is in heaven. Still many do perish! The folks given eyes to see will recognize this as an accurate translation for that verse:

YLT 2 Peter 3:9

the Lord is not slow in regard to the promise, as certain count slowness, but is long-suffering to us, not counselling any to be lost but all to pass on to reformation.

So bottom line, it is the Lord’s will that some perish, but he has not counseled them in this manner. Those who perish have rejected his counsel!

There are very many mistranslations that include the word eternal. Again the YLT clarifies these to mean – for an age, for a time. We should deal with those in a later post.

Other folks will recognize these errors of Christianity and the errors of other religions. But they too will not worship God as God, as their omnipotent creator, as the one who gives them life and breath, as the master of the universe. These folks, probably because of pride will make God into an idol, refusing to acknowledge, to thank, or to seek and appreciate him. The end result is the same – not knowing God.

Either way, these folks are missing out on the greatest reward that humans can achieve, knowing God, hearing his voice, appreciating his grace, and following him. Please don’t take my word on this. Find out for yourselves!!

KJV Ps 100:1-5

Shout for Joy to the Lord, All You Lands!

1{A Psalm of praise.} Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.

2Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

3Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

4Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

5For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Amen,

Glenn
