The Gospel Of Peace: Saved By Jesus or Slain By The Sword

Jesus came to save the world, so that folks would not have to be slain by the sword – judged by the word of God. Folks who truly live by the teachings of Jesus are the chosen.  These are not the only folks who make it into God’s Kingdoms! God’s word tells us about  two Kingdoms, the  Kingdom of Heaven and the Kingdom of God. Those who are chosen need not worry about the separation of the sheep and the goats, but the sheep [who built with Godl Silver and Precious Stones] will still inherit the Kingdom of Heaven! Those who walk humbly building on Paul’s foundation; taking compassion on the weak and poor find their way into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Today’s churches tell their followers that they are all saved by Jesus, that if they claim Jesus as their Savior and Lord, they are heaven bound. This is a false teaching to tickle men’s ears. Being saved by Jesus requires we be Born Again, becoming a new creation in Christ, turning from evil by recognizing and separating from those who  do evil.  If we are born again we will see the abomination that causes desecration, we will come out of Babylon. The Holy Spirit will deliver us from the power of lust and deliberate sin.

Today’s priest class teachers can not lead people to this living in Christ because they are not doing it. Let’s dig into what the scriptures really say about those who go to Heaven and those who are cast into the lake of fire.

NLT John 12:44-50

44Jesus shouted to the crowds, “If you trust me, you are trusting not only me, but also God who sent me. 45For when you see me, you are seeing the one who sent me. 46I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the dark. 47I will not judge those who hear me but don’t obey me, for I have come to save the world and not to judge it. 48But all who reject me and my message will be judged on the day of judgment by the truth I have spoken. 49I don’t speak on my own authority. The Father who sent me has commanded me what to say and how to say it. 50And I know his commands lead to eternal life; so I say whatever the Father tells me to say.”

If we don’t believe in Jesus, if we don’t accept the blood of the covenant and allow it to purify us –  if we are not new creations in Christ offering our lives as a living holy sacrifice, we, like the rest of this fallen world will be slain by the sword, we will be judged by God’s word. At the great white throne judgment God will divide those not saved by Jesus into sheep [the humble compassionate ones] and the goats [the proud selfish ones]. Let’s look at the this separation of the the sheep and the goats with its initial warning.  Many who might have been sheep will be rejected because they refuse to help others!

NLT Matt 25:28-30

28 “Then he ordered, ‘Take the money from this servant, and give it to the one with the ten bags of silver. 29 To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away. 30 Now throw this useless servant into outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’…

This money represents the spiritual gifts that God has given us. If we refuse to use our gift to help others, if we are not truly seeking to help others, our place among the sheep will be taken away! If we who are given much refuse to help others, we will be rejected.

NLT John 3:34-36

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world[this is the lower “Kingdom of Heaven”.  The Kingdom of God is reserved for the chosen few who follow Jesus in spirit and in truth]. 35 For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. 36 I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’

After we pass, all who are not saved by Jesus will be judged by his word. The evildoers are rejected along with the idle talkers. Only those who tried to help the weak, the poor and the prisoners will pass this test. This is the sword cutting between joint and marrow.

NLT Heb 4:12-13

12 For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.

All who are not saved by Jesus will give our account before God. For those who are not doing what Jesus taught, those not saved by Jesus will be judged by this word. They will be separated into the sheep and the goats.

NLT John 3:3-21

3 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”

4 “What do you mean?” exclaimed Nicodemus. “How can an old man go back into his mother’s womb and be born again?”

5 Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. 6 Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life. 7 So don’t be surprised when I say, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows wherever it wants. Just as you can hear the wind but can’t tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can’t explain how people are born of the Spirit.”

9 “How are these things possible?” Nicodemus asked.

10 Jesus replied, “You are a respected Jewish teacher, and yet you don’t understand these things? 11 I assure you, we tell you what we know and have seen, and yet you won’t believe our testimony. 12 But if you don’t believe me when I tell you about earthly things, how can you possibly believe if I tell you about heavenly things? 13 No one has ever gone to heaven and returned. But the Son of Man has come down from heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, 15 so that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life.

16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.

18 “There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son. 19 And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. 20 All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. 21 But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.”

Humans can not reproduce spiritual life. This only comes from the Holy Spirit. So those who have this light from the Holy Spirit in them seek the light so others can see that they do what God wants [vs 21]. This being born of the spirit is not something that men can teach men. This is a gift that God gives to the chosen few.

Looking at Vs 8 again in the KJV

KJV John 3:8The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

It is God’s prerogative who gets this gift, this being born again of the Holy Spirit. I believe that this next passage describes this gift this revelation – the understanding and recognition of this man of sin.

We feel the wind but know not where is comes from or where it goes. This is similar to seeing folks born of the spirit. We can try to help people hear and follow the Holy Spirit, but we just plant or water the seeds. Only God can make these seeds grow.

NLT Rom 1:18-25 God’s Anger at Sin

18 But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. 19 They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. 20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

21 Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. 22 Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. 23 And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. 25 They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.

Rom 3:10-17  None Righteous

10 As the Scriptures say,

“No one is righteous—

not even one.

11 No one is truly wise;

no one is seeking God.

12 All have turned away;

all have become useless.

No one does good,

not a single one.”

13 “Their talk is foul, like the stench from an open grave.

Their tongues are filled with lies.”

“Snake venom drips from their lips.”

14 “Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.”

15 “They rush to commit murder.

16 Destruction and misery always follow them.

17 They don’t know where to find peace.”

18 “They have no fear of God at all.”

These words remind us that we can not think as keepers of the law. The only way we overcome sin and selfishness is by hearing and following the Holy Spirit. Trying to keep the Law [in the flesh] does not lead to humility or  salvation.  Thinking tht we can be keepers of the law leads  to self-righteousness and death.

NLT 2Thess2:7-12

4 He will exalt himself and defy everything that people call god and every object of worship. He will even sit in the temple of God, claiming that he himself is God.

5 Don’t you remember that I told you about all this when I was with you? 6 And you know what is holding him back, for he can be revealed only when his time comes. 7 For this lawlessness is already at work secretly, and it will remain secret until the one who is holding it back steps out of the way. 8 Then the man of lawlessness will be revealed, but the Lord Jesus will kill him with the breath of his mouth and destroy him by the splendor of his coming.

Today’s priest class do not claim by their words that they are God. But their actions speak louder than words. They actually steal the role of the Holy Spirit for their “disciples”. It is the Holy Spirit’s job to lead each Christ follower into all truth. It is clear that pastor’s for many generations have presumed this role. Their lives testify that these self ambitious men are blasphemers of the Holy Spirit,  presuming to lead their followers into all truth!

Not many years ago I too was greatly deceived, one of the many who suffer under the strong delusion, a sleeping drunk, believing the lies, believing my service at church was service to God. As I continued to ask questions and seek the truth the one who was holding back the truth[vs7], God, stepped out of the ay and the man of lawlessness was revealed to me[vs8]!!  Since writing this post a few years ago I was shown that I too am this man of lawlessness, this son of perdition.  When God shows you his infinite power, his glory and we see our filthy self-righteousness, only then are we reborn, only then are we chosen.

Dear God,

Please help us to understand what your word says about our final judgment, about the salvation that Christ offers, and the about the separation of the sheep and the goats. We pray for true harvest hands, for all who will bring you glory. In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen.

Discerning The Times – Part 2: Flow and Bubble Charts of God’s Judgment

Supporting Passages:

Jesus will Judge Paul – we should not presume to judge others -til the day of the Lord.

NLT 1 Cor 4:3-4 1Dear brothers and sisters,a when I was with you I couldn’t talk to you as I would to spiritual people.b I had to talk as though you belonged to this world or as though you were infants in the Christian life.c 2I had to feed you with milk, not with solid food, because you weren’t ready for anything stronger. And you still aren’t ready, 3for you are still controlled by your sinful nature. You are jealous of one another and quarrel with each other. Doesn’t that prove you are controlled by your sinful nature? Aren’t you living like people of the world? 4When one of you says, “I am a follower of Paul,” and another says, “I follow Apollos,” aren’t you acting just like people of the world?

NLT Matt 12:31“So I tell you, every sin and blasphemy can be forgiven—except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which will never be forgiven. 32Anyone who speaks against the Son of Man can be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, either in this world or in the world to come.

33“A tree is identified by its fruit. If a tree is good, its fruit will be good. If a tree is bad, its fruit will be bad. 34You brood of snakes! How could evil men like you speak what is good and right? For whatever is in your heart determines what you say. 35A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. 36And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak. 37The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you.

So the good produce good things from a good heart. The evil produce evil from an evil heart. Pure hearts are associated with clear consciences and genuine faith 1 Tim 1:5. Those folks who reverently fear God seeking his will and his glory are contrasted with those who scoff at God and his power. This points to the real problem. God wants us to see those who are blaspheming the Holy Spirit.

Human heart is Wicked

NLT Jer 17:9“The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?10But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.”

NLT 2 Cor 2:17 The Hucksters

17 You see, we are not like the many hucksters who preach for personal profit. We preach the word of God with sincerity and with Christ’s authority, knowing that God is watching us.
