Who Is Gog and Magog?

I believe that the Bible reveals itself to all who seek, to all who seek with their whole hearts. Many seek God with ulterior motives, with self ambition and pride, trying to use God and his word to exalt themselves, calling themselves ordained ministers. These folks probably don’t realize it, but they are Antichrist. John warned us that the antichrists were already here:

NLT 1 John 2:18

[Warning about Antichrists] Dear children, the last hour is here. You have heard that the Antichrist is coming, and already many such antichrists have appeared. From this we know that the last hour has come.

James doesn’t use the word Antichrist, but he warns us that jealousy and self ambition are un-spiritual and demonic!

NLT James 3:15-17

15 For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic[I think antichrist]. 16 For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind.

17 But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.

This site asserts that an early version of the Septuagint identifies Gog as the king of the locusts!

“Thus the Lord showed me, and behold a swarm of locusts were coming, and behold, one of the young devastating locusts was Gog, the King.” Amos 7:1

So if Gog is the king of the Locusts, isn’t Magog the Locusts? I propose that leads us to these definitions:

Gog: The leader of the locusts.

Magog: the locusts

I’m not sure this is correct, but ask you to seek the Lord on this and share what you hear!!

As I was attempting to digest this passage I was forced to look back on the spiritual interpretations for locust; the false preacher, the beast of the sea, and the false prophet, the beast of the land.

Locust: same power as scorpion? Rev 9:3

AMP Rev 9:3 Then out of the smoke locusts came forth on the earth, and such power was granted them as the power the earth’s scorpions have. 4 They were told not to injure the herbage of the earth nor any green thing nor any tree, but only [to attack] such human beings as do not have the seal (mark) of God on their foreheads.

Not killing, but tormenting, like scorpions torment those w/o God’s mark, those not turning from sin. Their listeners will seek death but can not die[vs 6].

I’ve tried to understand the difference between the locusts and the wolves.

Here’s an excerpt from: The Good Shepherd, The Wolf, Or The Leopard

NLT Is 11:6 In that day the wolf[harlot preacher] and the lamb[Immature true seeker] will live together; the leopard[antichrist preacher] will lie down with the baby goat[false follower-evildoer]. The calf and the yearling will be safe with the lion[self-ambitous ones], and a little child will lead them all[the humble seeker, those coming to Jesus as a little child].

This post concludes that the wolf is the leader of the immature sheep, those who don’t know the difference between right and wrong. On the other hand if we are following one of the leopards, we are immature goats, evildoers that will be discarded at the time of judgment!  If you are in this group there is no time to waste!

I am not certain, but am now thinking there is an association between the scorpions the locusts, and the wolves. Let me present this:

Serpents=Beasts of the Sea [Rev 13:1-2]= False Preachers= Leopards, the head

Scorpions=Beasts of the Land [Rev 13:10-18]= Locusts= False Prophet= Wolves= the tail

Locusts Passages?

Deu 27 blessing for obedience vs 13 – curses for disobedience

AMP Deu 28:36 The Lord shall bring you and your king whom you have set over you to a nation which neither you nor your fathers have known, and there you shall [be forced to] serve other gods, of wood and stone. [Fulfilled in II Kings 17:4, 6; 24:12, 14; 25:7, 11; Dan. 6:11, 12]. 37 And you shall become an amazement, a proverb, and a byword among all the peoples to which the Lord will lead you. 38 You shall carry much seed out into the field and shall gather little in, for the locust shall consume it. [Fulfilled in Hag. 1:6]. 39 You shall plant vineyards and dress them but shall neither drink of the wine nor gather the grapes, for the worm shall eat them. 40 You shall have olive trees throughout all your territory but you shall not anoint yourselves with the oil, for your olive trees shall drop their fruit. 41 You shall beget sons and daughters but shall not enjoy them, for they shall go into captivity. [Fulfilled in Lam. 1:5]. 42 All your trees and the fruit of your ground shall the locust possess. [Fulfilled in Joel 1:4]. 43 The transient (stranger) among you shall mount up higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower. 44 He shall lend to you, but you shall not lend to him; he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail. 45 All these curses shall come upon you and shall pursue you and overtake you till you are destroyed, because you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you. 46 They shall be upon you for a sign [of warning to other nations] and for a wonder, and upon your descendants forever. 47 Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joyfulness of [mind and] heart [in gratitude] for the abundance of all [with which He had blessed you], 48 Therefore you shall serve your enemies whom the Lord shall send against you, in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and in want of all things; and He will put a yoke of iron upon your neck until He has destroyed you. 49 The Lord will bring a nation against you from afar, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flies, a nation whose language you shall not understand, 50 A nation of unyielding countenance who will not regard the person of the old or show favor to the young, 51 And shall eat the fruit of your cattle and the fruit of your ground until you are destroyed, who also shall not leave you grain, new wine, oil, the increase of your cattle or the young of your sheep until they have caused you to perish. 52 They shall besiege you in all your towns until your high and fortified walls in which you trusted come down throughout all your land; and they shall besiege you in all your towns throughout all your land which the Lord your God has given you. 53 And you shall eat the fruit of your own body, the flesh of your sons and daughters whom the Lord your God has given you, in the siege and in the [pressing] misery with which your enemies shall distress you. [Fulfilled in II Kings 6:24-29].

AMP Deu 28:38 says the locusts consume most of the seeds that are planted so that we gather little. Most of those who seek God are sucked into the churches of the Locust – of the wolves. Very few can become harvest hands – very few seeds germinate in the good soil. Most are chocked out among the thistles. Locusts keep the Trees and fruits of the ground [Deu 28:42]. His victims are destroyed by the yoke that these locusts place around our necks. [28:48]

The nation[the church] that God sends against us is the church of hypocrisy, selfishness, greed and lust.

Amp Nah 3:14 Draw for yourself the water [necessary] for a [long continued] siege, make strong your fortresses! Go down into the clay pits and trample the mortar; make ready the brickkiln [to burn bricks for the bulwarks]! 15 [But] there [in the very midst of these preparations] will the fire devour you; the sword will cut you off; it will destroy you as the locusts [destroy]. Multiply yourselves like the licking locusts; make yourselves many like the swarming locusts! 16 You increased your merchants more than the [visible] stars of the heavens. The swarming locust spreads itself and destroys, and then flies away. 17 Your princes are like the grasshoppers and your marshals like the swarms of locusts which encamp in the hedges on a cold day–but when the sun rises, they fly away, and no one knows where they are. 18 Your shepherds are asleep, O king of Assyria; your nobles are lying still [in death]. Your people are scattered on the mountains and there is no one to gather them. 19 There is no healing of your hurt; your wound is grievous. All who hear the news about you clap their hands over [what has happened to] you. For upon whom has not your [unceasing] evil come continually?

AMP Rev 9:3 Then out of the smoke locusts came forth on the earth, and such power was granted them as the power the earth’s scorpions have. 4 They were told not to injure the herbage of the earth nor any green thing nor any tree, but only [to attack] such human beings as do not have the seal (mark) of God on their foreheads.

Not killing, but tormenting, like scorpions torment those w/o God’s mark, those not turning from sin. Their listeners will seek death but can not die[vs 6].

7 The locusts resembled horses equipped for battle. On their heads was something like golden crowns. Their faces resembled the faces of people. 8 They had hair like the hair of women, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth. 9 Their breastplates (scales) resembled breastplates made of iron, and the [whirring] noise made by their wings was like the roar of a vast number of horse-drawn chariots going at full speed into battle. 10 They have tails like scorpions, and they have stings, and in their tails lies their ability to hurt men for [the] five months. 11 Over them as king they have the angel of the Abyss (of the bottomless pit). In Hebrew his name is Abaddon [destruction], but in Greek he is called Apollyon [destroyer].

The locusts are ruled by the Devil, they have not turned from sin. Their tails [their lying prophets] are like scorpions, [Is 9 explains the head and tail – below]

NLT Is 9:15 The leaders of Israel are the head, and the lying prophets are the tail. 16 For the leaders of the people have misled them. They have led them down the path of destruction.

Two Serpents and Scorpion passages:

KJV Deu 8:14-16

13 And [when] thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied; 14 Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage; 15 Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, [wherein were] fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where [there was] no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint; 16 Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end; 17 And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of [mine] hand hath gotten me this wealth. 18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for [it is] he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as [it is] this day. 19 And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish. 20 As the nations which the LORD destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the LORD your God.

The fiery serpents and scorpions rule over us in the house of bondage, when our flocks multiply and our hearts are lifted up and we forget the Lord and what he has done for us. Then we fall back into bondage of the Serpents and Scorpions, walking after and worshiping other Gods being disobedient to the Voice of the Lord.

KJV Luke 10:16 He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me. 17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. 18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. 19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. 21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight. 22 All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and [he] to whom the Son will reveal [him]. 23 And he turned him unto [his] disciples, and said privately, Blessed [are] the eyes which see the things that ye see: 24 For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen [them]; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard [them].

When Jesus sent out the 70 disciples the Devil fell from heaven like lightning and we were given power to tread on [to rule over] the serpents and scorpions and all the power of the enemy.

So the serpents and scorpions are enemy powers who rule over those in the house of bondage, in our harlot churches. Church Goers, Children Of Disobedience

Dear God,

Please help us to follow you, to be your new creation, seeking only your will, your glory, and your approval. Deliver us from worldliness to spiritual sight, from selfishness to service, and from pride to humility. May your will be done. In Jesus mighty name we pray, Amen.
