Church Goers, Children Of Disobedience

Yes, I’m saying that all those sitting in pews listening to their Pastors sermons week after week after week are God’s children of disobedience. God sees them in this light because they choose to follow deceived men above God. Pastors: A Profession Of Deceived Deceivers

Yes, Pastors Are Not God’s Shepherds!. Jesus established a hedge of protection around his flock, a volunteer priesthood of good shepherds. Men who leave the 99 and recover the one lost sheep, men who wash the feet of their followers. Jesus Foot Washing Example This ordained of men Priesthood that rules this earth are not his shepherds, they are the hired hands. Are You In Christ’s Sheepfold? Let’s take a look at Eph 5. I believe that this passage is speaking to all who are trapped in today’s church systems.

NLT Eph 5:13 But their evil intentions will be exposed when the light shines on them, 14 for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said,

“Awake, O sleeper,

rise up from the dead,

and Christ will give you light.”

Lets dig into a larger bite of Eph 5 in the KJV so we can understand about the “children of disobedience”

KJV Eph 5:5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them. 8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now [are ye] light in the Lord: walk as children of light: walk as children of light: 9 (For the fruit of the Spirit [is] in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove [them]. 12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. 13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. 14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. 15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord [is]. 18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; 19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; 20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; 21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

The “children of disobedience’ in vs 6 receive the wrath of God because they let men deceive them with vein words! As mentioned before, these deceivers are our pastors! We can not take part with them any longer. We must leave them and their harlot Babylonian church behind. We must reprove them, shine the light on them. This post is an attempt at just that.

What really does this shining the light on them really mean? Let’s take a look at verse 13 in the Amplified Bible.

AMP Eph 5:13 But when anything is exposed and reproved by the light, it is made visible and clear; and where everything is visible and clear there is light.

When we shine the light on things, God makes them visible and clear! This is just another area where we have to do our part so that God can do his part, so God’s will can be made manifest!

I’d like to close repeating Paul’s appeal that these Children of Disobedience might Wake Up!!!

Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead[if we are still living in deliberate sin or worshiping these priest class idols we are spiritually dead], and Christ shall give thee light.

Dear God,

Please don’t keep looking at our sins. Remove the stain of our guilt. Create in us a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within us. Do not banish us from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from us. Restore us to the joy of your salvation, and make us willing to obey you. Then we will teach your ways to rebels, and they will return to you. Forgive us for shedding blood, O God who saves; then we will joyfully sing of your forgiveness. 15 Unseal our lips, O Lord, that our mouths may praise you. 16 You do not desire a sacrifice, or we would offer one. You do not want a burnt offering. 17 The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Glenn

Note: this prayer is only a slight rewording of Ps 51:9-17.
