Bringing Glory to God

I was thinking that the reason most fail at trying live in Christ is this dying to self part, never really turning from their evil selfish desires to truly seeking the Lord and his will. Men can not do this on their own.  God only grants this gift to those he chooses to show mercy.  Without God, men’s self ambition prohibits them from bringing Glory to God! We can’t correct this with formulas and human effort. This has to be a God thing, a faith thing. The problem is that we can remain in our flesh and still think we are seeking to bring glory to God.

We fail to bring God Glory if we concentrate on trying to do it in our own strength – without God.  Those who succeed sit at his feet, trust and follow God, trusting that ony God can makes us new creations in Christ, relax, responding to his Holy Spirit with trust devotion humility and service, we can live in Christ. We can be truly devoted to Christ, and to bringing him glory. We will always fail if we are still seeking the approval of men!

Seeking God’s approval Not man’s

There Is Only One Good News

NLT Gal 1:6 I am shocked that you are turning away so soon from God, who called you to himself through the loving mercy of Christ. You are following a different way that pretends to be the Good News 7 but is not the Good News at all. You are being fooled by those who deliberately twist the truth concerning Christ. 8 Let God’s curse fall on anyone, including us or even an angel from heaven, who preaches a different kind of Good News than the one we preached to you. 9 I say again what we have said before: If anyone preaches any other Good News than the one you welcomed, let that person be cursed. 10 Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.

Paul’s Message Comes from Christ

11 Dear brothers and sisters, I want you to understand that the gospel message I preach is not based on mere human reasoning. 12 I received my message from no human source, and no one taught me. Instead, I received it by direct revelation from Jesus Christ.

There are many truth twisters out that who leave out important parts of the true Gospel to tickle mens ears to gain the approval of men.

When we seek mans approval we are not true servants of Christ. The Bible is telling us that these two objectives can not go together. If we even slightly seek mens approval we are not true servants of Christ. We need to forsake those desires, to give up trying to please men so that we can truly live for Christ.

The key ingredient to this new life in Christ is totally out of our control. It is in God’s hands! The Lesson Of Cain, God Chooses Us

Stop Trying To Argue With God!

Our job is terribly simple yet humanly impossible. We are to humble ourselves, trust follow and serve God, to seek his will and his glory!.

NLT Matt 19:25 The disciples were astounded. “Then who in the world can be saved?” they asked. 26 Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible . But with God everything is possible.” 27 Then Peter said to him, “We’ve given up everything to follow you. What will we get?” 28 “Yes,” Jesus replied, “and I assure you that when the world is made new and the Son of Man sits upon his glorious throne, you who have been my followers will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 And everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or property, for my sake, will receive a hundred times as much in return and will inherit eternal life. 30 But many who are the greatest now will be least important then, and those who seem least important now will be the greatest then.

Faith is the key.

Great Examples of Faith

NLT Gal 1:1 Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. 2 Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation. 3 By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen. 4 It was by faith that Abel brought a more acceptable offering to God than Cain did. Abel’s offering gave evidence that he was a righteous man, and God showed his approval of his gifts. Although Abel is long dead, he still speaks to us by his example of faith. 5 It was by faith that Enoch was taken up to heaven without dying―”he disappeared, because God took him.” For before he was taken up, he was known as a person who pleased God. 6 And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. 7 It was by faith that Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God, who warned him about things that had never happened before. By his faith Noah condemned the rest of the world, and he received the righteousness that comes by faith. 8 It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. 9 And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith―for he was like a foreigner, living in tents. And so did Isaac and Jacob, who inherited the same promise. 10 Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God. 11 It was by faith that even Sarah was able to have a child, though she was barren and was too old. She believed that God would keep his promise. 12 And so a whole nation came from this one man who was as good as dead―a nation with so many people that, like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore, there is no way to count them.

Dear God,

Please forgive the multitudes who scoff at your power and deny you by the way they live. In the same way that you were able to waken me from my drunken slumber, I ask to reveal your truth to them, to bring in many harvest hands. Please release the multitudes from their exile in Babylon, in today’s harlot churches, refusing to die to self and refuse to bring you glory. May Your Kingdom Come and Your Will Be Done on Earth! Turn us from our dual mindedness and our worldliness to spiritual life, to seek only your will, and your glory.

Amen
