Surviving The Sixth Seal

If my interpretations are correct, Babylon is already fallen.  She has not yet been silenced, but God is already in the process of destroying Babylon.

Daniel’s Seventieth Week, A Parallel Progression.

This is the essential information! This is what you need to know to avoid becoming a statistic. There are more specifics, in the post script. Everyone needs to know how to survive the Sixth Seal, to be prepared for the coming of the Lord, and the wrath of the lamb.

This quote helps us to zero in on the main problem, impurity in the church. God’s Truth: When “Church”…is a Lie [see par. 19]

‘With scripture mixed with the teachings of men is True evil accomplished for true evil is evil masked in good.’

Impurity has plagued our churches since the times of the Apostles. John criticized the church of Pergamon for holding to the teachings of the Nicolaitans, the priesthood of privilege and oppression, the victors over the laity. Nicolaism This Nicolaitan priest class has been in control of organized Christianity soon after Jesus was crucified.

Please do not listen this warning and run to your local church for shelter or guidance. That is where the wrath begins! That is where the beast rules and this storm of indignation begins! If you go to any typical Pastor – Pew sitter church you will be running right into the the cross heirs, the center of destruction.

Instead I ask you to simply gather with other Christians using only the Bible and the Holy Spirit as your guide. Be careful not to bring along the Pharisee leaven of hypocrisy. Keep the group free from these Nicolaition ‘ordained’ ministers [The Fall Of The Abomination], and steer clear of the The Sin That Leads to Death: Continuing In Blatant Willful Outward Sin Encouraging each other to live as new creations in Christ. Let’s dig in.

The Scoffers Will Be Removed.

NLT Is 29:13 And so the Lord says, These people say they are mine. They honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. And their worship of me is nothing but man-made rules learned by rote[repetition]. 14 Because of this, I will once again astound these hypocrites with amazing wonders. The wisdom of the wise will pass away, and the intelligence of the intelligent will disappear. 15 What sorrow awaits those who try to hide their plans from the Lord, who do their evil deeds in the dark! The Lord can’t see us, they say. He doesn’t know what’s going on! 16 How foolish can you be? He is the Potter, and he is certainly greater than you, the clay!

If you appreciate Christ’s warning about monument builders, that they will be held responsible for the persecution and murder of all of God’s prophets since the creation of the world you can separate and protect yourself.

Churchgoers are particularly at risk. The Lord has stored up his wrath on all those who persecuted the prophets from the time of Abel, and he will hold this generation responsible! This wrath is directed specifically at all those who build their monuments to prophets, these men who collect followers by expecting their allegiance thru membership. The wrath is directed towards our pastors and denominational leaders. Luke 11 spells all this out for us.

NLT Luke 11:47 What sorrow awaits you! For you build monuments for the prophets your own ancestors killed long ago. 48 But in fact, you stand as witnesses who agree with what your ancestors did. They killed the prophets, and you join in their crime by building the monuments ! 49 This is what God in his wisdom said about you: ‘I will send prophets and apostles to them, but they will kill some and persecute the others.’ 50 “As a result, this generation will be held responsible for the murder of all God’s prophets from the creation of the world 51 from the murder of Abel to the murder of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, it will certainly be charged against this generation.

If you appreciate Christ’s warning to the Lukewarm Laodicean church, that he will vomit them out of his mouth, you can separate and protect yourself.

The Message to the Church in Laodicea

NLT Rev 3: 14 “Write this letter to the angel of the church in Laodicea. This is the message from the one who is the Amen—the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God’s new creation: 15 “I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! 16 But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit[YLT Vomit] you out of my mouth! 17 You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. 18 So I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. 19 I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference. 20 “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. 21Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne. 22 “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches.”

If you can identify who the abomination that causes desecration is, you can separate and protect yourself.

The abomination already stands in the Holy place [where he should not stand]. His time is almost up. He spoils the daily sacrifice, the pure holy worship and the life of service of these churchgoers. The abomination is right down the street. These Deceived Deceivers Have been firmly established in the Holy Place since soon after Jesus was crucified!

The Whitewasher’s Will Be Gone

NLT Ez 13:7 Can your visions be anything but false if you claim, ‘This message is from the LORD,’ when I have not even spoken to you? 8 “Therefore, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: Because what you say is false and your visions are a lie, I will stand against you, says the Sovereign LORD. 9 I will raise my fist against all the prophets who see false visions and make lying predictions, and they will be banished from the community of Israel. I will blot their names from Israel’s record books, and they will never again set foot in their own land. Then you will know that I am the Sovereign LORD. 10 “This will happen because these evil prophets deceive my people by saying, ‘All is peaceful’ when there is no peace at all!

If you understand the call to flee Judea[the church] you can separate and protect yourself.

NLT Matt 24:15 The day is coming when you will see what Daniel the prophet spoke about the sacrilegious object that causes desecration standing in the Holy Place. Reader, pay attention!) 16 Then those in Judea[the Church] must flee to the hills. 17 A person out on the deck of a roof must not go down into the house to pack. 18 A person out in the field must not return even to get a coat. 19 How terrible it will be for pregnant women and for nursing mothers in those days. 20 And pray that your flight will not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For there will be greater anguish than at any time since the world began. And it will never be so great again. 22 In fact, unless that time of calamity is shortened, not a single person will survive. But it will be shortened for the sake of God’s chosen ones.

God is furious with his shepherds, the ones he calls his partners [Zch 13:7]. He also calls them worthless shepherds[Zch 11:17] and his enemies in Ez 34:10]. The details about their destruction are presented here: God’s Shepherd Warning

Those Outside The Church:

The destruction for those outside the church does not have such clear warnings. There are passages that indicate that leaders will be in more trouble that commoners, and that the proud will be removed.

NLT Is 24:4 The earth mourns and dries up, and the crops waste away and wither. Even the greatest people on earth waste away. 5 The earth suffers for the sins of its people, for they have twisted God’s instructions, violated his laws, and broken his everlasting covenant. 6Therefore, a curse consumes the earth. Its people must pay the price for their sin. They are destroyed by fire, and only a few are left alive. …

Dear God, Please turn us from our Lukewarm Churches, from the Wolves of Babylon, from aligning ourselves with those building their monuments to prophets. Help us to see these deceptions, and return to you, to purity and truth, in Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Surviving The Sixth Seal

——————————

This marks the end of summary section. For those still with me, let’s go over these points again with the full passages and greater detail. This passage in Ezekiel shows us how angry God is.

NLT Ez 9:6 Kill them all old and young, girls and women and little children. But do not touch anyone with the mark. Begin right here at the Temple.” So they began by killing the seventy leaders [in the temple who says that the Lord doesn’t see us. He has deserted our land Ez 8:12].

We’ll go into this passage in more detail later, but for now note that these marked people are passed over because they sigh and weep about the terrible sins committed in their assemblies. I believe that these with the mark will be tried with fire[trials], and then restored. There is no need for you to endure these fiery trials. If you are really seeking God with all your heart you will hear God’s call to Come Out From Babylon, From Today’s Harlot Church

The Scoffers Will Be Removed.

NLT Is 29:13 And so the Lord says, These people say they are mine. They honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. And their worship of me is nothing but man-made rules learned by rote. 14 Because of this, I will once again astound these hypocrites with amazing wonders. The Lord can’t see us, they say. He doesn’t know what’s going on! 16 How foolish can you be? He is the Potter, and he is certainly greater than you, the clay! Should the created thing say of the one who made it, he didn’t make me? Does a jar ever say, The potter who made me is stupid? 17 Soon and it will not be very long the forests of Lebanon will become a fertile field, and the fertile field will yield bountiful crops. 18 In that day the deaf will hear words read from a book, and the blind will see through the gloom and darkness. 19 The humble will be filled with fresh joy from the Lord. The poor will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. 20 The scoffer will be gone, the arrogant will disappear, and those who plot evil will be killed.

Let’s first look at todays churchgoers, those who attend a pastor Pew sitter church. Even folks who only go to once a year fall into this category. Those who haven’t attended one of these Pastor Pew sitter churches in 5 years can perhaps skip down to the section “Those Outside the Church”

If you appreciate Christ’s warning about monument builders, that they will be held responsible for the persecution and murder of all of God’s prophets since the creation of the world, you can separate and protect yourself.

52 “What sorrow awaits you experts in religious law! For you remove the key to knowledge from the people. You don’t enter the Kingdom yourselves, and you prevent others from entering.” 53 As Jesus was leaving, the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees became hostile and tried to provoke him with many questions. 54 They wanted to trap him into saying something they could use against him.

So this generation of priests will be held responsible for all the persecution of the prophets since Abel’s time. The ones specifically held responsible are those building their monuments to prophets – expecting people to become members of their churches. This identifies them as the persecutors.

If you understand God’s call for his people to come out of Babylon [our harlot churches] you can separate and protect yourself.

The Fall of Babylon

NLT Rev 18:1 After all this I saw another angel come down from heaven with great authority, and the earth grew bright with his splendor. 2 He gave a mighty shout: “Babylon is fallen—that great city is fallen! She has become a home for demons. She is a hideout for every foul spirit, a hideout for every foul vulture and every foul and dreadful animal.3 For all the nations have fallen because of the wine[doctrine] of her passionate immorality. The kings of the world have committed adultery with her. Because of her desires for extravagant luxury, the merchants of the world have grown rich.” 4 Then I heard another voice calling from heaven, “Come away from her, my people . Do not take part in her sins, or you will be punished with her.5 For her sins are piled as high as heaven, and God remembers her evil deeds. 6 Do to her as she has done to others. Double her penalty for all her evil deeds. She brewed a cup of terror for others, so brew twice as much for her. 7 She glorified herself and lived in luxury, so match it now with torment and sorrow. She boasted in her heart, ‘I am queen on my throne. I am no helpless widow, and I have no reason to mourn.’ 8 Therefore, these plagues will overtake her in a single day— death and mourning and famine. She will be completely consumed by fire[trials], for the Lord God who judges her is mighty.” 9 And the kings of the world who committed adultery with her and enjoyed her great luxury will mourn for her as they see the smoke rising from her charred remains. 10 They will stand at a distance, terrified by her great torment. They will cry out, “How terrible, how terrible for you, O Babylon, you great city! In a single moment God’s judgment came on you.” 11 The merchants of the world will weep and mourn for her, for there is no one left to buy their goods. 12 She bought great quantities of gold, silver, jewels, and pearls; fine linen, purple, silk, and scarlet cloth; things made of fragrant thyine wood, ivory goods, and objects made of expensive wood; and bronze, iron, and marble.]

I think this double punishment for Babylon [vs 6], the double punishment for the gentiles, will be similar to the double punishment that the Jews received in the Holocaust! There are two passages that discuss the wrath and divide the churchgoers into thirds. I call them the Thirds Passages:

NLT Ez 5:11 “As surely as I live, says the Sovereign LORD, I will cut you off completely. I will show you no pity at all because you have defiled my Temple with your vile images and detestable sins. 12 A third of your people will die in the city from disease and famine. A third of them will be slaughtered by the enemy outside the city walls. And I will scatter a third to the winds, chasing them with my sword. 13 Then at last my anger will be spent, and I will be satisfied. And when my fury against them has subsided, all Israel will know that I, the LORD, have spoken to them in my jealous anger. 14 “So I will turn you into a ruin, a mockery in the eyes of the surrounding nations and to all who pass by. 15 You will become an object of mockery and taunting and horror. You will be a warning to all the nations around you. They will see what happens when the LORD punishes a nation in anger and rebukes it, says the LORD.

One third of the church goers will die in the city[church] from disease and famine. Another third will be slaughtered by the enemy outside the city walls. And a third will be scattered to the winds, chasing them with my sword[the word]. To understand what happens to this last third, what chasing them with my sword means we need to look to Zechariah 13.

The Scattering of the Sheep

NLT Zch 13: 7 “Awake, O sword[the Word], against my shepherd, the man who is my partner,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. “Strike down the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered, and I will turn against the lambs. 8 Two-thirds of the people in the land will be cut off and die,” says the LORD. “But one- third will be left in the land. 9 I will bring that group through the fire and make them pure. I will refine them like silver and purify them like gold. They will call on my name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘These are my people,’ and they will say, ‘The LORD is our God.’

We see that the last third is will be refined with fire [trials] and made pure, but the other two thirds of the Lukewarm churchgoers die! I think that this is what will happen if we are unsuccessful in our prayers that God would have mercy on his people in Joel 2. This passage holds out hope that the Lord will have mercy on his lambs bringing a blessing rather than a curse. Joel promises that if we call an assembly, fasting and praying for mercy, if we can turn from this abominable priest class back the Lord, back to purity and holiness, he will relent.

A Call to Repentance

NLT Joel 2:12 That is why the LORD says, “Turn to me now, while there is time. Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning. 13 Don’t tear your clothing in your grief, but tear your hearts instead.” Return to the LORD your God, for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.He is eager to relent and not punish. 14 Who knows? Perhaps he will give you a reprieve, sending you a blessing instead of this curse. Perhaps you will be able to offer grain and wine to the LORD your God as before. 15 Blow the ram’s horn in Jerusalem! Announce a time of fasting; call the people together for a solemn meeting. 16 Gather all the people— the elders, the children, and even the babies. Call the bridegroom from his quarters and the bride from her private room. 17 Let the priests, who minister in the LORD’s presence, stand and weep between the entry room to the Temple and the altar. Let them pray, “Spare your people, LORD! Don’t let your special possession become an object of mockery. Don’t let them become a joke for unbelieving foreigners who say,’Has the God of Israel left them?’ “

The LORD’s Promise of Restoration

18 Then the LORD will pity his people and jealously guard the honor of his land. 19 The LORD will reply, “Look! I am sending you grain and new wine and olive oil, enough to satisfy your needs. You will no longer be an object of mockery among the surrounding nations.

If this fasting weeping and praying is successful the church as a whole will not be the subject of mockery. Still I believe those with the mark of the beast, the priest class abomination will be killed.

But even if we fail as a whole to turn from the abomination, Ez 8 & 9 show any true seekers left in Babylon how to survive. All who weep for the terrible sins being committed in the temple, in our churches, will be survive! Most believers that hear the call to leave Babylon will not need the refining process, the trials that those who remain, weeping and sighing for the terrible sins that occur there. This passage lists some of these terrible sins. The church walls were engraved with detestable creatures, worshiping idols, following leaders who say that God has deserted us, that he no longer sees us, and men and women who worship the Sun!

Idolatry in the Temple

NLT Ez 8:1 Then on September 17, during the sixth year of King Jehoiachin’s captivity, while the leaders of Judah were in my home, the Sovereign LORD took hold of me. 2 I saw a figure that appeared to be a man. From what appeared to be his waist down, he looked like a burning flame. From the waist up he looked like gleaming amber. 3 He reached out what seemed to be a hand and took me by the hair. Then the Spirit lifted me up into the sky and transported me to Jerusalem in a vision from God. I was taken to the north gate of the inner courtyard of the Temple, where there is a large idol that has made the LORD very jealous. 4 Suddenly, the glory of the God of Israel was there, just as I had seen it before in the valley. 5 Then the LORD said to me, “Son of man, look toward the north.” So I looked, and there to the north, beside the entrance to the gate near the altar, stood the idol that had made the LORD so jealous. 6 “Son of man,” he said, “do you see what they are doing? Do you see the detestable sins the people of Israel are committing to drive me from my Temple? But come, and you will see even more detestable sins than these!” 7 Then he brought me to the door of the Temple courtyard, where I could see a hole in the wall. 8 He said to me, “Now, son of man, dig into the wall.” So I dug into the wall and found a hidden doorway. 9 “Go in,” he said, “and see the wicked and detestable sins they are committing in there!” 10 So I went in and saw the walls engraved with all kinds of crawling animals and detestable creatures. I also saw the various idols worshiped by the people of Israel. 11 Seventy leaders of Israel were standing there with Jaazaniah son of Shaphan [a scribe] in the center. Each of them held an incense burner, from which a cloud of incense rose above their heads. 12 Then the LORD said to me, “Son of man, have you seen what the leaders of Israel are doing with their idols in dark rooms? They are saying, ‘The LORD doesn’t see us; he has deserted our land!’ ” 13 Then the LORD added, “Come, and I will show you even more detestable sins than these!” 14 He brought me to the north gate of the LORD’s Temple, and some women were sitting there, weeping for the god Tammuz[the Accadian sun-god]. 15 “Have you seen this?” he asked. “But I will show you even more detestable sins than these!” 16 Then he brought me into the inner courtyard of the LORD’s Temple. At the entrance to the sanctuary, between the entry room and the bronze altar, there were about twenty-five men with their backs to the sanctuary of the LORD. They were facing east, bowing low to the ground, worshiping the sun! 17 “Have you seen this, son of man?” he asked. “Is it nothing to the people of Judah[the church] that they commit these detestable sins, leading the whole nation into violence, thumbing their noses at me, and provoking my anger? 18 Therefore, I will respond in fury. I will neither pity nor spare them. And though they cry for mercy, I will not listen.”

These walls engraved with detestable creatures are our churches. They are infected with many detestable idols, things that pull our attention, our devotion, and our obedience away from God. Probably the worst of these idols are our leaders who say [with their actions, scoffing at God’s power] that God has abandoned us, and people worshiping the Sun!

Ez 9:1 Then the LORD thundered, “Bring on the men appointed to punish the city![church] Tell them to bring their weapons with them!” 2 Six men soon appeared from the upper gate that faces north, each carrying a deadly weapon in his hand. With them was a man dressed in linen, who carried a writer’s case at his side. They all went into the Temple courtyard and stood beside the bronze altar. 3 Then the glory of the God of Israel rose up from between the cherubim, where it had rested, and moved to the entrance of the Temple. And the LORD called to the man dressed in linen who was carrying the writer’s case. 4 He said to him, “Walk through the streets of Jerusalem and put a mark on the foreheads of all who weep and sigh because of the detestable sins being committed in their city.[churches]” 5 Then I heard the LORD say to the other men, “Follow him through the city and kill everyone whose forehead is not marked. Show no mercy; have no pity! 6 Kill them all—old and young, girls and women and little children. But do not touch anyone with the mark. Begin right here at the Temple. So they began by killing the seventy leaders. 7 “Defile the Temple!” the LORD commanded. “Fill its courtyards with corpses. Go!” So they went and began killing throughout the city. 8 While they were out killing, I was all alone. I fell face down on the ground and cried out, “O Sovereign LORD! Will your fury against Jerusalem wipe out everyone left in Israel?” 9 Then he said to me, “The sins of the people of Israel and Judah are very, very great. The entire land is full of murder; the city is filled with injustice. They are saying, ‘The LORD doesn’t see it! The LORD has abandoned the land!’ 10 So I will not spare them or have any pity on them. I will fully repay them for all they have done.” 11 Then the man in linen clothing, who carried the writer’s case, reported back and said, “I have done as you commanded.”

This scene occurs at the temple courtyard [vs 2], the area that was turned over to the gentiles to trample for 1260 years. [NIV Rev 11:2 But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months.] Ez 9 tells us which third of the city, which third of the church, is not killed; those who weep and sigh because of the detestable sins being committed in their churches.

Then you will know that I am the Sovereign LORD. 10 “This will happen because these evil prophets deceive my people by saying, ‘All is peaceful’ when there is no peace at all! It’s as if the people have built a flimsy wall, and these prophets are trying to reinforce it by covering it with whitewash! 11 Tell these whitewashers that their wall will soon fall down. A heavy rainstorm will undermine it; great hailstones and mighty winds will knock it down. 12 And when the wall falls, the people will cry out, ‘What happened to your whitewash?’ 13 “Therefore, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will sweep away your whitewashed wall with a storm of indignation , with a great flood of anger, and with hailstones of fury. 14 I will break down your wall right to its foundation, and when it falls, it will crush you. Then you will know that I am the LORD. 15 At last my anger against the wall and those who covered it with whitewash will be satisfied. Then I will say to you: ‘The wall and those who whitewashed it are both gone. 16 They were lying prophets who claimed peace would come to Jerusalem when there was no peace. I, the Sovereign LORD, have spoken!’

The Abomination is our fallen Priest class System, a system where leaders lord over their flocks, refusing Jesus Foot Washing Example, rejecting the leaders role as slave, as a servant leader [among you it will be different Matt 20:26-27], and ignoring the gathering commands.

12 The city is left in ruins, its gates battered down. 13 Throughout the earth the story is the same only a remnant is left, like the stray olives left on the tree or the few grapes left on the vine after harvest. …

17 Terror and traps and snares will be your lot, you people of the earth. 18 Those who flee in terror will fall into a trap, and those who escape the trap will be caught in a snare. Destruction falls like rain from the heavens; the foundations of the earth shake. 19 The earth has broken up. It has utterly collapsed; it is violently shaken. 20 The earth staggers like a drunk. It trembles like a tent in a storm. It falls and will not rise again, for the guilt of its rebellion is very heavy. 21 In that day the LORD will punish the gods in the heavens and the proud rulers of the nations on earth. 22 They will be rounded up and put in prison. They will be shut up in prison and will finally be punished. 23 Then the glory of the moon will wane, and the brightness of the sun will fade, for the LORD of Heaven’s Armies will rule on Mount Zion. He will rule in great glory in Jerusalem, in the sight of all the leaders of his people.

NLT Is 34:A Message for the Nations

1 Come here and listen, O nations of the earth. Let the world and everything in it hear my words. 2 For the Lord is enraged against the nations. His fury is against all their armies. He will completely destroy them, dooming them to slaughter. 3 Their dead will be left unburied, and the stench of rotting bodies will fill the land. The mountains will flow with their blood. 4 The heavens above will melt away and disappear like a rolled-up scroll. The stars will fall from the sky like withered leaves from a grapevine, or shriveled figs from a fig tree. 5 And when my sword has finished its work in the heavens, it will fall upon Edom, the nation I have marked for destruction. 6 The sword of the Lord is drenched with blood and covered with fat― with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of rams prepared for sacrifice. Yes, the Lord will offer a sacrifice in the city of Bozrah. He will make a mighty slaughter in Edom. 7 Even men as strong as wild oxen will die― the young men alongside the veterans. The land will be soaked with blood and the soil enriched with fat. 8 For it is the day of the Lord’s revenge, the year when Edom will be paid back for all it did to Israel.

So it looks like those outside the church need to make sure that they are not in the land of Edom, the lands who were hostile towards Israel, those who were hostile towards those contending with God.

More Warnings, More Specifics

NLT Is 47:5 “O beautiful Babylon, sit now in darkness and silence. Never again will you be known as the queen of kingdoms. 6 For I was angry with my chosen people and punished them by letting them fall into your hands. But you, Babylon, showed them no mercy. You oppressed even the elderly. …

9 Well, both these things will come upon you in a moment: widowhood and the loss of your children. Yes, these calamities will come upon you, despite all your witchcraft and magic. 10 “You felt secure in your wickedness. ‘No one sees me,’ you said. But your ‘wisdom’ and ‘knowledge’ have led you astray, and you said, ‘I am the only one, 10 “You felt secure in your wickedness. ‘No one sees me,’ you said. But your ‘wisdom’ and ‘knowledge’ have led you astray, and you said, ‘I am the only one, and there is no other.’ 11 So disaster will overtake you, and you won’t be able to charm it away. Calamity will fall upon you, and you won’t be able to buy your way out. A catastrophe will strike you suddenly, one for which you are not prepared. …

48:3 Long ago I told you what was going to happen. Then suddenly I took action, and all my predictions came true. 4 For I know how stubborn and obstinate you are. Your necks are as unbending as iron. Your heads are as hard as bronze.

9 Yet for my own sake and for the honor of my name, I will hold back my anger and not wipe you out. 10 I have refined you, but not as silver is refined. Rather, I have refined you in the furnace of suffering. …

16 Come closer, and listen to this. From the beginning I have told you plainly what would happen.” And now the Sovereign LORD and his Spirit have sent me with this message. 17 This is what the LORD says― your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow. 18 Oh, that you had listened to my commands! Then you would have had peace flowing like a gentle river and righteousness rolling over you like waves in the sea. 19 Your descendants would have been like the sands along the seashore― too many to count! There would have been no need for your destruction, or for cutting off your family name.”
