Standing In The Gap; Christ’s Current Assignment

I believe this passage was written particularly for us. When we understand the overall Phrophesy Timeline, and see Our Spiritual Horizon, The Sixth Seal, we can appreciate the significance of this call to rebuild the wall of righteousness and stand in the gap with Jesus.

NLT Ez 22:24 “Son of man, give the people of Israel[Contender with God] this message: In the day of my indignation[I think sixth seal 2012] you will be like a polluted land, a land without rain[truth and spiritual blessings]. 25 Your princes[our church leaders] plot conspiracies just as lions stalk their prey. They devour innocent people, seizing treasures and extorting wealth. They make many widows in the land, 26 Your priests have violated my instructions and defiled my holy things. They make no distinction between what is holy and what is not. And they do not teach my people the difference between what is ceremonially clean and unclean. They disregard my Sabbath days so that I am dishonored among them. 27 Your [church] leaders are like wolves who tear apart their victims. They actually destroy people’s lives for money! 28 And your prophets cover up for them by announcing false visions and making lying predictions. They say, ‘My message is from the Sovereign LORD,’ when the LORD hasn’t spoken a single word to them. 29 Even common people oppress the poor, rob the needy, and deprive foreigners of justice30 “I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn’t have to destroy the land, but I found no one. 31 So now I will pour out my fury on them, consuming them with the fire[trials] of my anger. I will heap on their heads the full penalty for all their sins. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!”

This passage, in it condemnations, shows us how we can rebuild the wall of righteousness.  The condemnations:

Our church  leaders plot conspiracies just as lions stalk their prey, devouring innocent people, seizing treasures extorting wealth, and make many widows in the land.

Our priests violate the Lord’s instructions: defiled his holy things, making no distinction between what is holy and what is not; not teaching people the difference between what is ceremonially clean and unclean; and disregard my Sabbath days\

Our leaders tear apart their victims[their followers], destroying people’s lives for money!

Our prophets cover up for them[the leaders and priests] with false visions and lying predictions, saying, ‘My message is from the Sovereign LORD,’ when the LORD hasn’t spoken a single word to them.

The common people oppress the poor, rob the needy, and deprive foreigners of justice.

So to Rebuild the Wall of Righteousness we need to:

Stop following our blind church leaders. Stop following men who plot conspiracies just as lions stalk their prey, devouring innocent people, seizing treasures extorting wealth, and make many widows in the land.

Stop listening to priests that violate the Lord’s instructions: defiling his holy things, making no distinction between what is holy and what is not; not teaching people the difference between what is ceremonially clean and unclean; and disregard my Sabbath days\

Stop following church leaders that tear apart their victims[their followers], destroying people’s lives for money![those false teachers who think that godliness is a way to make a living. 1Tim 6:3-9 The Church Leader’s Dilemma: Follow Paul Or Accept Pay ]

Stop listening to prophets who cover up for our false preachers and viscous wolf leaders with false visions and lying predictions, those whom the LORD hasn’t spoken a single word to.

Stop the common people from oppressing the poor, robbing from the needy, and depriving foreigners of justice.

To stop violating the Lord’s instructions we must stop defiling his holy things, understanding what is holy and what is not: and teaching people the difference between what is ceremonially clean and unclean; and stop disregard Sabbath days.  Let’s take a look at each of these individually.

Defiling Holy Things

NLT 1 Corinthians 6:11

Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

The things of Christ are holy. We actually become Holy when we join forces with God’s Holy Spirit, inviting him into our heart.

Clean and Unclean

NLT Acts 11:8-10

8 “‘No, Lord,’ I replied. ‘I have never eaten anything that our Jewish laws have declared impure or unclean.

9 “But the voice from heaven spoke again: ‘Do not call something unclean if God has made it clean.’ 10 This happened three times before the sheet and all it contained was pulled back up to heaven.

God decides what is clean and what is unclean, not us. Something that may appear perfectly acceptable in our eyes can be just the opposite for God! The Bible spells out what I call “Salvation Stealers”, sins that will keep you from taking part in God’s kingdom.  I’ll address these in a future post in detail, but this is the list:

Millstone sin – taking advantage of the simple trust of believers

Burying our gifts – not helping those in need;

Idolatry, valuing stuff or anything more than God

Refusing to submit to the Holy Spirit – not doing God’s will

being sexually immoral, adulterers, male prostitutes, or homosexuals,

being thieves, greedy, slanderers, or swindlers

being drunkards,

causing others to sin,

weak conditional faith – need childlike simple trust

Take a look at this passage.

NLT Luke 11:39 Then the Lord said to him, “You Pharisees are so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside you are filthy—full of greed and wickedness! 40 Fools! Didn’t God make the inside as well as the outside? 41 So clean the inside by giving gifts to the poor, and you will be clean all over. 42 “What sorrow awaits you Pharisees! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore justice and the love of God. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things. …44 Yes, what sorrow awaits you! For you are like hidden graves in a field. People walk over them without knowing the corruption they are stepping on.”

These teachers who are so worried about appearances but filled greed and wickedness are unclean. They are lacking a heart for the poor. If they would follow this passage and give to the poor they could be clean all over. Until they do, they are like hidden graves full of corruption.

Obeying the Sabbath days

NLT Is Isaiah 58:12-14

12 Some of you will rebuild the deserted ruins of your cities.

Then you will be known as a rebuilder of walls

and a restorer of homes.

13 “Keep the Sabbath day holy.

Don’t pursue your own interests on that day,

but enjoy the Sabbath

and speak of it with delight as the Lord’s holy day.

Honor the Sabbath in everything you do on that day,

and don’t follow your own desires or talk idly.

14 Then the Lord will be your delight.

I will give you great honor

and satisfy you with the inheritance I promised to your ancestor Jacob.

I, the Lord, have spoken!”

To rebuild the wall we need to keep the sabbath[the seventh day] holy, not pursuing our own interests on that day, not talking idly, but enjoying the sabbath. This passage also discusses rebuilding the wall.

The Whitewashed Wall

NLT Ez 13:Judgment against False Prophets

1 Then this message came to me from the Lord: 2 “Son of man, prophesy against the false prophets of Israel[those who contend with God] who are inventing their own prophecies. Say to them, ‘Listen to the word of the Lord. 3 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: What sorrow awaits the false prophets who are following their own imaginations and have seen nothing at all!’

4 “O people of Israel, these prophets of yours are like jackals digging in the ruins. 5 They have done nothing to repair the breaks in the walls around the nation. [see above descussion on how to rebuild the wall] They have not helped it to stand firm in battle on the day of the Lord. 6 Instead, they have told lies and made false predictions. They say, ‘This message is from the Lord,’ even though the Lord never sent them. And yet they expect him to fulfill their prophecies! 7 Can your visions be anything but false if you claim, ‘This message is from the Lord,’ when I have not even spoken to you?

8 “Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because what you say is false and your visions are a lie, I will stand against you, says the Sovereign Lord. 9 I will raise my fist against all the prophets who see false visions and make lying predictions, and they will be banished from the community of Israel. I will blot their names from Israel’s record books, and they will never again set foot in their own land. Then you will know that I am the Sovereign Lord.

10 “This will happen because these evil prophets deceive my people by saying, ‘All is peaceful’ when there is no peace at all! It’s as if the people have built a flimsy wall, and these prophets are trying to reinforce it by covering it with whitewash! 11 Tell these whitewashers that their wall will soon fall down. A heavy rainstorm will undermine it; great hailstones and mighty winds will knock it down. 12 And when the wall falls, the people will cry out, ‘What happened to your whitewash?’

13 “Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will sweep away your whitewashed wall with a storm of indignation, with a great flood of anger, and with hailstones [hard spiritual truths] of fury. 14 I will break down your wall right to its foundation, and when it falls, it will crush you. Then you will know that I am the Lord. 15 At last my anger against the wall and those who covered it with whitewash will be satisfied. Then I will say to you: ‘The wall and those who whitewashed it are both gone. 16 They were lying prophets who claimed peace would come to Jerusalem when there was no peace. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!’

These prophets that the Lord hasn’t sent shipwreck the gatherings that they attendShipwrecked Gatherings.  They keep the God seekers at these gathering from their destination, from true communion with Christ. [see Jude 1:12] The Church Nourished From The Face Of The Serpent!!.  These prophets who follow their own imaginations, having seen nothing at all, and  doing nothing to repair the breaks in the walls have not helped believers to stand firm in battle on the day of the Lord.told lies and made false predictions.  Because these evil prophets deceive my people the Lord will banish them from the community of God seekers.

Bottom Line

I hope that you are still with me. I think that all of these Bible passages are talking about the sixth seal and the fall of Babylon, the Harlot church.

I believer that all of this is pertinent to rebuilding the Lord’s wall of righteousness. Take a look at this recent prophecy. Dismantling The City, Richard L. Jone’s Dream

Prayer:

Dear God,

Pls help us to stop listening to our blind leaders, to stop listening to our false prophets to stop oppressing the poor, robbing the needy, and depriving foreigners of justice. Help us to rebuild the wall of righteousness, to stop violating the Lord’s instructions: to stop defiling his holy things, and understand the difference between what is ceremonially clean and unclean, and Help us to obey your Sabbath days. In Jesus mighty name we pray, Amen.

P.S. I believe these next passages helps us to see where we are in God’s timing.

After The Towers Fall, Babylon Is Judged

Lets first take a look at the  ’towers fall’ passage in Biblical prophecy. Just after the towers fall both Isaiah and Jeremiah tell of the destruction of the Harlot Church.  Jeremiah declares that everyone will scoff at Babylon because of all her wounds. All who draw the bow[the beheaded saints that rule with Chrust] are told to shoot at her not sparing arrows, for she has sinned against the LORD shout against her on every side, her towers fall, her walls are torn down, do to her as she has done to others. This is fully explained in After Israel Is Restored, After The Towers Fall, Babylon Is Judged

The desolate cities

NLT Jer 5: 10 “Go down the rows of the vineyards

and destroy the grapevines,

leaving a scattered few alive.

Strip the branches from the vines,

for these people do not belong to the Lord.

11 The people of Israel and Judah

are full of treachery against me,”

says the Lord.

12 “They have lied about the Lord

and said, ‘He won’t bother us!

No disasters will come upon us.

There will be no war or famine.

13 God’s prophets are all windbags

who don’t really speak for him.

Let their predictions of disaster fall on themselves!’”

14 Therefore, this is what the Lord God of Heaven’s Armies says:

Because the people are talking like this,

my messages will flame out of your mouth

and burn the people like kindling wood.

15 O Israel, I will bring a distant nation against you,”

says the Lord.

It is a mighty nation,

an ancient nation,

a people whose language you do not know,

whose speech you cannot understand.

16 Their weapons are deadly;

their warriors are mighty.

17 They will devour the food of your harvest;

they will devour your sons and daughters.

They will devour your flocks and herds;

they will devour your grapes and figs.

And they will destroy your fortified towns,

which you think are so safe.

18 “Yet even in those days I will not blot you out completely,” says the Lord. 19 “And when your people ask, ‘Why did the Lord our God do all this to us?’ you must reply, ‘You rejected him and gave yourselves to foreign gods in your own land. Now you will serve foreigners in a land that is not your own.’

A Warning for God’s People

20 “Make this announcement to Israel,

and say this to Judah:

21 Listen, you foolish and senseless people,

with eyes that do not see

and ears that do not hear.

22 Have you no respect for me?

Why don’t you tremble in my presence?

I, the Lord, define the ocean’s sandy shoreline

as an everlasting boundary that the waters cannot cross.

The waves may toss and roar,

but they can never pass the boundaries I set.

23 But my people have stubborn and rebellious hearts.

They have turned away and abandoned me.

24 They do not say from the heart,

Let us live in awe of the Lord our God,

for he gives us rain each spring and fall,

assuring us of a harvest when the time is right.’

25 Your wickedness has deprived you of these wonderful blessings.

Your sin has robbed you of all these good things.

26 “Among my people are wicked men

who lie in wait for victims like a hunter hiding in a blind.

They continually set traps

to catch people.

27 Like a cage filled with birds,

their homes are filled with evil plots.

And now they are great and rich.

28 They are fat and sleek,

and there is no limit to their wicked deeds.

They refuse to provide justice to orphans

and deny the rights of the poor.

29 Should I not punish them for this?” says the Lord.

Should I not avenge myself against such a nation?

30 A horrible and shocking thing

has happened in this land—

31 the prophets give false prophecies,

and the priests rule with an iron hand.

Worse yet, my people like it that way!

But what will you do when the end comes?

This is discussed in the Pastoral Virus. Believers today have you no respect for God. They don’t you tremble in his presence?

Ez 6:1 Again a message came to me from the Lord: 2 “Son of man, turn and face the mountains[worldly structure] of Israel[contenders with God] and prophesy against them. 3 Proclaim this message from the Sovereign Lord against the mountains of Israel. This is what the Sovereign Lord says to the mountains and hills and to the ravines and valleys: I am about to bring war upon you, and I will smash your pagan shrines[Monuments To Prophets ]. 4 All your altars will be demolished, and your places of worship will be destroyed. I will kill your people in front of your idols. 5 I will lay your corpses in front of your idols and scatter your bones around your altars. 6 Wherever you live there will be desolation, and I will destroy your pagan shrines. Your altars will be demolished, your idols will be smashed, your places of worship will be torn down, and all the religious objects you have made will be destroyed. 7 The place will be littered with corpses, and you will know that I alone am the Lord.

8 “But I will let a few of my people escape destruction, and they will be scattered among the nations of the world. 9 Then when they are exiled among the nations, they will remember me. They will recognize how hurt I am by their unfaithful hearts and lustful eyes that long for their idols. Then at last they will hate themselves for all their detestable sins. 10 They will know that I alone am the Lord and that I was serious when I said I would bring this calamity on them.

11 “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Clap your hands in horror, and stamp your feet. Cry out because of all the detestable sins the people of Israel have committed. Now they are going to die from war and famine and disease. 12 Disease will strike down those who are far away in exile. War will destroy those who are nearby. And anyone who survives will be killed by famine. So at last I will spend my fury on them. 13 They will know that I am the Lord when their dead lie scattered among their idols and altars on every hill and mountain and under every green tree and every great shade tree—the places where they offered sacrifices to their idols. 14 I will crush them and make their cities desolate from the wilderness in the south to Riblah in the north. Then they will know that I am the Lord.”…

Ez 7:24 I will bring the most ruthless of nations to occupy their homes. I will break down their proud fortresses and defile their sanctuaries. 25 Terror and trembling will overcome my people. They will look for peace but not find it. 26 Calamity will follow calamity; rumor will follow rumor. They will look in vain for a vision from the prophets. They will receive no teaching from the priests

The churches will be destroyed and littered with corpses!
