Are You Dissing God?

Dissing is showing disrespect, to disparage; belittle, insult or criticize. American’s don’t understand that just by attending at a typical Sunday Church Service they are disrespecting God. Today’s western church services are so far from their Biblical call and the historical example that I think anyone participating is really dissing God week after week after week. Church goers are so ignorant of God’s Word that they actually think they are worshiping God. They have no clue that they are trusting blind leaders, and honoring un-Biblical traditions over simple Biblical commands. Jesus warned is that this would happen. Take a look at this passage;

NLT Mar 7;6 Jesus replied, “You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you, for he wrote, ‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. 7 Their worship is a farce [NIV worship is in vein], for they teach man-made ideas as commands from God.’ 8 For you ignore God’s law and substitute your own tradition.” 9 Then he said, “You skillfully sidestep God’s law in order to hold on to your own tradition. 10 For instance, Moses gave you this law from God: ‘Honor your father and mother,’ and ‘Anyone who speaks disrespectfully of father or mother must be put to death.” 11 But you say it is all right for people to say to their parents, ‘Sorry, I can’t help you. For I have vowed to give to God what I would have given to you.’ 12 In this way, you let them disregard their needy parents. 13 And so you cancel the word of God in order to hand down your own tradition. And this is only one example among many others.”

– The “many other examples” includes the Participatory Believer gathering Commands in 1 Cor 14, the call to servant leadership, the false doctrine of tithing, and finally refusing to follow Paul’s example, the tent maker preacher. These specifics are discussed;

Servant Leadership

Tithing; God’s Call or Man’s SubstitutePastor’s Pay

Today’s churches are packed with ritual and the wisdom of men. They claim to be seeking the Holy Spirit, but they refuse to honor the commands that would put the Holy Spirit back in control of their gatherings. They refuse to use the methods prescribed in the Bible to grow, develop and equip them to live out their life of faith (see Eph 4;12-14 below) . Instead they rely on man made (even Pagan) systems. The Blind leaders blame it on the flock, thinking that they lack dedication, when the real problem is the leader’s anchor to the Pagan roots of today’s services. The leaders are unable to be obedient to the gathering commands. They rely on a single “wise sounding” sermon, but the Bible is clearly calls for preaching that does not sound wise (Biblical Sermons). The command for 2 or 3 prophet-teachers is ignored. The command for yielding the floor to anyone with a revelation from the Holy Spirit is ignored. The command for allowing tongue speakers with interpretation is ignored. Only the command to prohibit women from taking authority over the men is honored at most churches, but this is clearly just one piece of the group of gathering commands spelled out in 1 Cor 14. THE MAIN Believer Gathering Must be a Believer Gathering

To be Equipped & Perfect;

Jesus perfects and equips his followers as they implement the participatory gathering commands; developing oneness in the faith and maturity by gaining a full knowledge of the Son

AMP Eph 4;12 His intention was the perfecting and the fully equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church), 13[That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him. 14So then, we may no longer be children, tossed [like ships] to and fro between chance gusts of teaching and wavering with every changing wind of doctrine, [the prey of] the cunning and cleverness of unscrupulous men, [gamblers engaged] in every shifting form of trickery in inventing errors to mislead.

Here’s an Old Testament Passage that I think describes quite well how God feels about today’s Church Services:

MSG Isa 1;13 “Quit your worship charades. I can’t stand your trivial religious games: Monthly conferences, weekly Sabbaths, special meetings- meetings, meetings, meetings-I can’t stand one more! 14 Meetings for this, meetings for that. I hate them! You’ve worn me out! I’m sick of your religion, religion, religion, while you go right on sinning. 15 When you put on your next prayer-performance, I’ll be looking the other way. No matter how long or loud or often you pray, I’ll not be listening. And do you know why? Because you’ve been tearing people to pieces, and your hands are bloody. 16 Go home and wash up. Clean up your act. Sweep your lives clean of your evildoings so I don’t have to look at them any longer. Say no to wrong. 17 Learn to do good. Work for justice. Help the down-and-out. Stand up for the homeless. Go to bat for the defenseless. 18 “Come. Sit down. Let’s argue this out.” This is God’s Message: “If your sins are blood-red, they’ll be snow-white. If they’re red like crimson, they’ll be like wool. 19 If you’ll willingly obey, you’ll feast like kings. 20 But if you’re willful and stubborn, you’ll die like dogs.” That’s right. God says so. Those Who Walk Out on God 21 Oh! Can you believe it? The chaste city has become a whore! She was once all justice, everyone living as good neighbors, And now they’re all at one another’s throats. 22 Your coins are all counterfeits. Your wine is watered down. 23 Your leaders are turncoats who keep company with crooks. They sell themselves to the highest bidder and grab anything not nailed down. They never stand up for the homeless, never stick up for the defenseless. 24 This Decree, therefore, of the Master, God-of-the-Angel-Armies, the Strong One of Israel: “This is it! I’ll get my oppressors off my back. I’ll get back at my enemies. 25 I’ll give you the back of my hand, purge the junk from your life, clean you up.

Dear God,

Help your believers to see that they are to stop disrespecting you, and start Prayng, Asking, Seeking, And Knocking, in Jesus name we pray, Amen.
