Those ‘Whom God Knows Not’

Today’s Pastors universally treat the believer gathering ‘Command of the Lord’ as an option. The Amplified Bible declares that God doesn’t know any Spiritual Leaders who ignore this command! Why do they ignore this? It could be tradition, ego, pride, or many other things. One thing that is for certain, there is no scriptural basis to negate this clear command of Jesus!

The Believer Gathering Command:

AMP 1 Cor 14;26 What then, brethren, is [the right course]? When you meet together, each one has a hymn, a teaching, a disclosure of special knowledge or information, an utterance in a [strange] tongue, or an interpretation of it. [But] let everything be constructive and edifying and for the good of all. 27 If some speak in a [strange] tongue, let the number be limited to two or at the most three, and each one [taking his] turn, and let one interpret and explain [what is said]. 28 But if there is no one to do the interpreting, let each of them keep still in church and talk to himself and to God. 29 So let two or three prophets speak [those inspired to preach or teach], while the rest pay attention and weigh and discern what is said. … 37 If anyone thinks and claims that he is a prophet [filled with and governed by the Holy Spirit of God and inspired to interpret the divine will and purpose in preaching or teaching] or has any other spiritual endowment, let him understand (recognize and acknowledge) that what I am writing to you is a command of the Lord. 38 But if anyone disregards or does not recognize [that it is a command of the Lord], he is disregarded and not recognized [he is one whom God knows not].

This verse spells out how we are to interact when we gather for worship. Everyone shares something, a song, a teaching, a tongue. It goes on to say that any spiritual leader will recognize this as a command of the Lord. Finally it says any leaders who disregard this command is “one whom God knows not”.

Can that be right?

1. Believers have been following an established Priesthood that has ignored this clear simple command of the Lord for many centuries.

2. The Bible tells us that leaders who don’t recognize this command are those ‘whom God knows not’

Virtually all of today’s Pastors fail this test. The ignore the call to participation, the call for multiple prophets, and the Holy Spirit control.  Does that mean that God doesn’t know any of them?

The Bottom line: If your pastor rejects God’s truth by continuing to disobey the gathering commands, he declares by his actions that he is One Whom God Knows Not.  He is working against God.

We need to reclaim John 4;22-25 [below] & 1 Cor 14;38[above] for today’s churches. For a time [John 4, worshiping in Spirit and in Truth] was true, but soon after Jesus’ Crucifixion believers fell away from the call of the word, the call to true biblical worship. The Priesthood of believers was lost & a Priesthood of men was resurrected.  They are now near complete dominance in this world.

NIV John 4;22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.” 25 The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.”

Dear God,

Please show your believers the truth revealed 1 Cor 14;38 and help us to obey. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Hey Glenn,
it’s dean! i saw your wife yesterday. then i remembered your email…I should pray about this a lot more. But if the Bible really says that, there really is nothing to pray about concerning what the Will of God is……right?
God bless you,

Re: Re: Those ‘Whom God Knows Not’
Great to hear from you. What you ask is Sad but true. There are a bunch of other scriptures that warn us about these teachers (spritually blind, vicious wolves, shameless shepherds, not building on Paul’s foundation (the humble tentmaker servant slave), men seeking followers, hawking the word, … I have a post in the works on this, but havn’t yet gotten the Holy Sirits OK on that one yet. It seems like the “liturgical church” is like a poison that has worked it’s way into the church. The participatory Holy Spirit Led Church has so much more potential! We just need to re-learn how to do it.
God Bless
