God’s Place Of Judgment, This Earthly Lake Of Fire – Not Really Reincarnation

I think the fires of Hell are the trials and tribulations that we face here on earth, that  Earth is the place of God’s Judgment and Wrath!  This is the place of weeping and gnashing of teeth.  Think about it.  God even warns us what will happen. Take a look!

NLT Jer 18:1-6  The Potter and the Clay
1 The Lord gave another message to Jeremiah. He said, 2 “Go down to the potter’s shop, and I will speak to you there.” 3 So I did as he told me and found the potter working at his wheel. 4 But the jar he was making did not turn out as he had hoped, so he crushed it into a lump of clay again and started over.
5 Then the Lord gave me this message: 6 “O Israel, can I not do to you as this potter has done to his clay? As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand.

God is the potter and we are the clay.  When we don’t follow God, don’t turn out as he intended he will put us back on his potters wheel and start over!!  Hopefully this time we can humble ourselves, repent of our sins and turn to him in faith and submission!!!

I was looking at the passages where the devil was thrown down to Earth with a third of the angels. Clearly this has already happened. As I was looking at that passage it seemed that there were many similarities to the passage where the devil is thrown into the lake of fire.

Before we go into those passages, take a quick look at this site. The author argues that the Hell is in the core of the earth. http://www.av1611.org/hell.html

I think the author is interpreting these scriptures too literally. I believe that the fires of Hell are the the many trials and tribulations of life when we rebel against God. I believe that the true follower of Christ is tried by fire, suffering many trials in this life. Even those who find their way out from physical Babylon, today’s lukewarm pastor-pewsitter  churches, will continue to suffer many trails in their wilderness experience as they  learn to offer their lives as living holy sacrifice and grow in Christ. While this cycle may appear similar to the Buddhist’s concept of reincarnation, there are some important differences.  We’ll discuss those later. Now lets look into the chapter where the devil is thrown down to earth.

KJV Rev 12

1. And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

2. And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

3. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

4. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

5. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

6. And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

7. And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

8. And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

9. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

10. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

11. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. [When we live this way we come out from the deepest parts of Hell and reside in Christ's millennial kingdom where we trample on the serpents and scorpions ruling with Christ's iron rod]

12. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

13. And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

14. And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. [Early in our spiritual lives God protects us from the dragon in the wilderness]

15. And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.[But when we reach the age of accountability and continue to disobey God, the flood of lies comes upon us.]

16. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

17. And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Notice [vs5] that Jesus rules with a rod of iron[strong authority]. The devil’s role is also spelled out in vs 13, to persecute the worman, the church, the true followers of Christ.

Let’s look at the chapter where the devil is cast into the lake of fire.

KJV Rev 19:1. And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:

2. For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

3. And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.

4. And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.

5. And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.

6. And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

7. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

8. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

9. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

10. And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

11. And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

12. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

13. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

14. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

15. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

16. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

17. And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

18. That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

19. And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

20. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

21. And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

I believe that this passage is describing the time of our passing.  We either find ourselves at the Marriage supper of the Lamb, or at the battle of Armageddon, the Great White Throne judgment.

Recap:

I haven’t heard specifics on this, but the scriptures say that it is appointed of men once to die and then the judgement. If after we die we are cast back to earth, we would then have died twice.

The scriptures also tell us that we are wonderfully made, woven together in our Mothers womb. I am currently speculating that the resolution to these scriptures is that God somehow changes unbelievers [in their mothers womb] before they are cast back into the lake of Fire. The soul that comes back into this life as a new Baby has been changed. It is no longer the same soul that failed God’s test.

This life on Earth is a series of trails and tribulation. I used to think that the Bible described three separate tribulation periods, but now see that interpretation as flawed.  The tribulation is a time when we are beginning to know God but still rejecting the power of his Spirit.  Rather than trusting in God, his will and his power we cling to our will and our power.

Before we find our way into Christ’s millennial kingdom we suffer these trials at the hands of Satan and his agents. After we repent and submit Christ, seeking him with all our hearts we entering into his millennial kingdom.

Dear God,

Deliver us from our worldliness and double mindedness. And help us to humbly seek serve and follow you. In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen.
