Wrath Seekers, Pastors Who Worship The Beast

I was looking at Rev 14:9-10 trying to understand who will receive God’s full wrath and indignation. Let’s dig into this question to find what Jesus is telling us.

God’s fiercest wrath is not for all with the mark of the Beast. It is for those with the Mark of the Beast who also worship the beast. I believe that those taking The Mark of the Beast are those who become ordained in the Beast’s ministry. The Nicolaitans who rule over the laity. Yes, I’m talking about the all ordained ministers in the Protestant and Catholic church: every Minister who refuses Jesus Foot Washing Example and Lords over his flock; every Minister who refuses to follow the gathering Commands is among Those ‘Whom God Knows Not’; every Minister Building Monuments To Prophets is taking the Mark of the Beast. But not all of these deserve God’s fiercest wrath. Only those who also Worship the Beast.

NKJV Rev 14:9 Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”

So what is this worshiping the Beast? Rev 13 gives us the answer. Take a look.

NLT Rev 13: 14 And with all the miracles he was allowed to perform on behalf of the first beast, he deceived all the people who belong to this world. He ordered the people to make a great statue of the first beast, who was fatally wounded and then came back to life. 15 He was then permitted to give life to this statue so that it could speak. Then the statue of the beast commanded that anyone refusing to worship it must die.

This last section of Rev 13:15 is the doctrine of a covering. Those who preach that folks must worship at a Priest-class controlled gathering are ‘worshiping the beast’. If pastors preach that it is OK for folks to gather and worship without their covering, they are not worshiping the Beast. If they tell their flocks that they can not go to a simple or house church assembly, they are sorely deceived and God will pour out his harshest judgements on them.

I’m thinking that this harshest wrath may line up with the stricter judgment for Church leaders discussed in James 3.  Lets take a look.

NLT James 3:Controlling the Tongue

1 Dear brothers and sisters, not many of you should become teachers in the church, for we who teach will be judged more strictly. 2 Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way.

3 We can make a large horse go wherever we want by means of a small bit in its mouth. 4 And a small rudder makes a huge ship turn wherever the pilot chooses to go, even though the winds are strong. 5 In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches.

But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. 6 And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself.

7 People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, 8 but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison. 9 Sometimes it praises our Lord and Father, and sometimes it curses those who have been made in the image of God. 10 And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right! 11 Does a spring of water bubble out with both fresh water and bitter water? 12 Does a fig tree produce olives, or a grapevine produce figs? No, and you can’t draw fresh water from a salty spring.

True Wisdom Comes from God

13 If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. 14 But if you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition in your heart, don’t cover up the truth with boasting and lying. 15 For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic. 16 For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind.[especially in the lives of these church leaders]

17 But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. 18 And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.

So this warns people against seeking leadership roles in the church because of a stricter judgment. It talks about jealousy and self ambition being demonic and leading to every kink of evil and disorder. This is contrasted with God’s wisdom which is pure peace loving gentile yielding, full of mercy and good deeds.

I think this is warning people not to become ministers, that this act of ordination, exalting oneself leads to every kind of evil and disorder. The clear warning is that no man can tame his tongue!

Recapping

The people who worship the beast, who teach that folks must follow under the covering of today’s priest class and carry the Mark of the Beast, ordination in our fallen worldly church systems are headed for the full wrath and indignation of the Lord. They will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb and the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night.

Dear God,

Please help us to seek and follow your Holy Spirit into all truth. Your word promises that he will reveal to us everything that Jesus wants us to know. Dear Lord we claim this promise, and seek to serve you, to bring you glory, to do your will. In Jesus Mighty Name We Pray,

Amen.
