Our Assignment – To Ignore Todays Blind Leaders

The word tells us to do good to all people, especially those who belong to the family of believers. Here’s the reference.

NIV Gal 6;7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

AMP Gal 6;10 …being useful or profitable to them, but also doing what is for their spiritual good and advantage]. Be mindful to be a blessing, especially to those of the household of faith [those who belong to God's family with you, the believers].

This family of believers does include the few real followers of Christ at today’s fallen churches. How are we to help these folks. We need to help them to see the truth. The Bible declares that the truth will set those who seek him free.

NLT John 8;31 Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. 32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

What is the best blessing that we can give to the household of faithful that suffer at todays fallen Churches? What is God asking us? Peace or War? Submission or conquest? I don’t think we are supposed to overtake their false leaders at their fallen churches – Looking back at the wheat & tares [Matt 13;24-30], the antichrist has planted these fallen teachers, and whatever was not planted by the father will be uprooted;

NLT Matt 15;13 Jesus replied, “Every plant not planted by my heavenly Father will be uprooted , 14 so ignore them. They are blind guides leading the blind, and if one blind person guides another, they will both fall into a ditch.”

Here is our guidance! Ignore them!! Don’t try to replace, don’t try to overtake, don’t try to change them, Just ignore them!!! The war that I thought God was asking us to fight is for the souls of the real believers in todays fallen churches. They need to see who they are now serving! We need to have the the truth visible so they can recognize that they serve a lie. – God wants them all to find him, not some distorted substitute, not the weak needy God who hangs out at our churches [America’s Fallen Churches], not a God who needs us to spend our time or money to keep this failing man made church system from crashing down.

God’s demands are quite simple, he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him.

NLT Act 17;30 God overlooked people’s ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of thier sins and turn to him.

Churches make this so difficult & complicated. Pastors argue that God needs our service and our tithes. The truth [Act 17;25] is that God has no needs. These pastors need our money & our efforts to build their substitute churches. God’s true church is the pure gathering of Christ’s followers who live out their call and serve each others needs. There’s no need for buildings or salaries or earthly Kings. The whole system runs off servant hood, seeking and fulfilling Christ’s call on individual lives, never relying on human wisdom, worldly structure or human authority. Everyone is relying on Christ, seeking his mind, sharing, yielding, growing, and serving, shining God’s light in this dark world, being the salt, helping the poor and weak

Jesus Came to bring a sword – not peace

NLT Matt 10;32 “Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. 33 But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven. 34 “Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword. 35 ‘I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.36 Your enemies will be right in your own household!’ 37 “If you love your father or mother more than you love me, you are not worthy of being mine; or if you love your son or daughter more than me, you are not worthy of being mine. 38 If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine. 39 If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it. 40 “Anyone who receives you receives me, and anyone who receives me receives the Father who sent me. 41 If you receive a prophet as one who speaks for God, you will be given the same reward as a prophet. And if you receive righteous people because of their righteousness, you will be given a reward like theirs. 42 And if you give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded.”

The bottom line here is are we carrying our cross, following Jesus. God warns us that our family members, or even clinging to a comfortable life here on earth will pull us away from him.

So what are the sins of this fallen Priesthood? What do they do that will cost them their salvation?

1. Is it idolatry, refusing to respect the divine nature & eternal power of their creator, [they treat God like he is a wimp, like the 70 who died at Beth Shemesh in 1 Samuel 6;18 because they irreverently looked into the Ark]

2. Is it the millstone sin, taking advantage of the simple trust of believers

3. Is it building on the wrong foundation, not on Paul’s New Testament Preacher, but on the old levitical priesthood model,

4. Is it ignoring the warning that those who exhault themselves will be humbled. Ignoring the warning that not many should become leaders in the church (James3;1), and the warnings about those who rob widows?

5. Is it failing to understand the difference between their Biblical call and growing their churches – allowing self ambition & jealousy to corrupt their ministry.

6. Is it just trusting their teachers and traditions over the simple call of the Bible and the example of the early church. These false teachers ignore the their call to servant leadership, to the believer gathering commands, and to Paul’s tent maker preacher example. I think this perversion of the Pastor role , [transforming the slave to king], this returning to the Levitical priesthood model is the camel that teachers swallow in Matt 23;24;

NLT Matt 23; 23-25 “What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore the more important aspects of the law—justice, mercy, and faith. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things. 24 Blind guides! You strain your water so you won’t accidentally swallow a gnat, but you swallow a camel ! 25 “What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside you are filthy—full of greed and self-indulgence!

I leave you with a few warnings for those who exalt themselves.

NLT Mat 23;11 The greatest among you will be your servant. 12 For whoever exalts himself will be humbled , and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. 13 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.

The teachers of the Law shut the kingdom of heaven in men’s faces and will not even let others enter. They make it hard, they make it impossible, when it is really quite simple. Keep our eyes on Christ, seeking and following him carrying our cross, turning from our selfish desires.

NLT Luke 14;10 But when you are invited, take the lowest place, so that when your host comes, he will say to you, ‘Friend, move up to a better place.’ Then you will be honored in the presence of all your fellow guests. 11 For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled , and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Don’t seek positions of honor, seek the humble positions let God lift you up.

Luke 18;13 “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’ 14 “I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled , and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

The best we can ever be is filthy rags. If we try to come to him with ego pride & self righteousness we will not make it, it is only the appreciative repentant sinner, the new creation in Christ who can come in God’s presence.

May God Guide All His Believers to Ignore Today’s Blind Leaders, and Set Them Free to Live only For Him.
