Bible Basics

The Bible asks different things of different people.

To those who recognize the Bible as the inspired word of God, the bible asks you to study the word & to learn from it; to claim it’s promises; to develop your spiritual gifts; to seek the Holy Spirit and to follow him.

To those who aren’t yet sure if the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the Bible cries ‘check it out’. If the creator of the universe gave us a ‘how to’ manual don’t we owe it to ourselves and to him to check it out? Isn’t it worth an hour a day [for a few years] to read and study- at least until you know for sure?

To those convinced that the Bible is not the inspired of God the Bible asks ‘Are you sure’? The Bible explains that those who don’t turn from their selfish desires to follow God are really slaves of the devil. Its not religiosity that God is after, simply humble truth seekers.
